All lanes of State College Boulevard between Winston Road and Cerritos Avenue were temporarily closed by Anaheim police after a crash that left a man dead Thursday afternoon.

At 3:11 p.m., a SigAlert was issued for all lanes in both directions of the area. At around 3 p.m., a woman in her 40s traveling southbound in a Ford F-150 truck collided with a Toyota Camry traveling eastbound on Winston Road, said Lt. Eric Trapp of the Anaheim Police Department.

The driver of the Camry, a 42-year-old man, had to be cut out of the car and was taken to a local trauma center in critical condition. He was later pronounced dead.

Trapp said the woman was not hospitalized and remained at the scene. She cooperated with police and was released.

There was no evidence to suggest that drugs or alcohol played a role in the crash, Trapp said.
