Woman Killed in Los Gatos Crash — Oct 24, 2017

In a cruel twist of fate, the Los Gatos woman killed in a four-car pie-up on Highway 92 was the mother of the DUI driver who caused the accident Saturday night. Seventy-year-old, Saida Magomedova was a passenger in a 2009 Mercedes-Benz coupe. The coup was driven by Arsen Tarkovskiy, 30. Witnesses reported seeing him weave dramatically in and out of traffic lanes before veering directly into oncoming traffic at approximately 8:44 p.m. The accident took place on westbound Highway 92, past Interstate 280 in the hill area above Belmont where he crossed over the double-yellow lines, and hit the left sides of an eastbound 2002 Honda, a 1998 Pontiac, and then smashed into a 2003 Volvo head-on. Magomedova was pronounced dead at the scene. Tarkovskiy is her son. He was extricated from the wreck of the Mercedes and taken to Stanford Hospital with major injuries. He will be taken to jail upon release.
