Woman Dies in Shasta County Crash — Sep 1, 2017

A woman identified as 31-year-old Susan Gray of Redding died when her car drifted off Old Alturus Road in Bella Vista and rolled several times. The accident occurred at approximately 10:49 p.m. on September 1rst, near Deschutes Road. Gray was found to have been ejected from her Ford Expedition when officers arrived on the scene. Officers were able to determine Gray had been eastbound on Old Alturus at an unknown speed when she drifted off the northern embankment a half mile from Deschutes. The Expedition rolled several times after leaving the road. She died at the scene. No word yet if she was wearing a seatbelt or driving under the influence.
