Woman Dies in Corcoran Highway Crash — July 15, 2017

According to the highway patrol, a Porterville man, Alexandro Urbano, 22, was driving his 60-year-old mother in his 2000 Toyota when he ran a stop sign westbound on Popular Avenue. A truck driver from Illinois in a 2013 Peterbilt was unable to brake in time and hit the pair. The mother was killed. The driver of the car received minor injuries. The truck driver was unharmed. Drugs nor alcohol were a factor in the accident.
