Vacaville Accident Kills Elderly Pedestrian, August 28, 2016

An elderly pedestrian was struck by a car Wednesday morning on Woodcrest Drive. An 86-year-old man from Vacaville was not crossing in a crosswalk as he walked with a cane across the street. The accident, which occurred between Brown and Alpine streets at approximately 7:30 am was reportedly caused by the sun. The driver of the car was blinded and did not see the man crossing. Other witnesses claim to also have been blinded by the sun at that time.
