Two Modesto Men Killed in Manteca Crash — Nov 28, 2016

Two men from Modesto, Peter Funtila, 24, and Christian Sangco, 23, were killed in Manteca last Saturday afternoon. The crash, which occurred at approximately 12:07 p.m., was near East Woodward Avenue. Mr. Funtila, the driver, was in a white Subaru traveling southeast on Moffat. The speed is yet undetermined. A driver in a tow-truck approached from the other direction and Funtila’s car began to turn sideways and rolled into the truck driver’s lane. Funtila died at the scene. Sangco died later in a medical facility. The truck driver was not seriously injured. Police are investigating why the accident occurred.
