Two Injured After Crashing Stolen Car in Merced County — Jan 12, 2017

While running from Merced County police, two men crashed into a Delhi ditch and received major injury. They were seen at 12:20 p.m. on Second Avenue. The black Honda Accord had been reported stolen. They made a U-turn near Fourth Street when a deputy tried to stop it. The car sped off and police gave chase. It only lasted 15 seconds, however, before the driver lost control, hit a ditch and went airborne before rolling and landing on its roof. Both suspects were thrown from the vehicle and taken to hospitals in the Modesto are for treatment.
