Two Horses Euthanized After DUI Crash — Apr 17, 2017

Two miniature horses were killed in a hit and run crash in Santa Rosa. DUI suspect Ronald Rennert is under investigation for the accident in which a car barreled through the horse corral and hit both animals in Penngrove on Saturday. Investigators have determined Rennert’s vehicle had front end damage in which horse hair was found. There were also car parts related to his Honda CRV found in the corral. Sometime later during the day of the accident, police arrested Rennert for DUI after witnessing him swerve in Petaluma with a damaged car. Investigators are still working on the case.
