Two Crashes Take Two Lives Two Hours Apart in San Pablo — August 7, 2017

Monday morning was a rough time for drivers on westbound I80 in San Pablo. All lanes of traffic in the westbound lanes were shut down for several hours following the crashes, the second of which was classified as a hit and run. The second accident involved a semi-truck and a motorcycle. It occurred at approximately 6:22 a.m. The truck driver made an unsafe turn and hit the motorcycle. The driver, 35-year-old Nicholas Brown of Fairfield, was thrown from the motorcycle and died on the scene. The truck driver pulled over for a few seconds but then drove away. Two hours earlier, Lindche Tran, 25-years-old, of Richmond, crashed into the center median in her Honda Accord after losing control. She attempted to get out of the car after it stopped in the median, but was struck by a Dodge Charger. She died at the scene. Two people in the Charger were injured.
