Tulare County Sherriff’s Sergeant Dies in Crash, September 26, 2016

Tulare County Sheriff's Sgt. Mike Yandell was killed last Saturday after crashing his Chevrolet Silverado pickup truck near Hanford in King’s County. The accident occurred just before midnight on Saturday, southeast of Hanford in the 12000 block of 7th Avenue. It was a solo crash. For reasons undetermined and at a speed not yet determined, Yandell took an unsafe turn into the right shoulder of the road that took him across both lanes of traffic and into a dirt embankment. The truck overturned and Yandell was thrown from the vehicle. He was not wearing a seatbelt.
