Truck Crashes in Auburn Kills One Million Bees — Nov 1, 2017

A truck carrying one million bees in their hives crashed in northern California Thursday night when the driver swerved to avoid slowing traffic. He crashed into an embankment but was able to escape without major injury. A beekeeper was called, and he determined that the hives could not be salvaged. Since rain was coming in quickly, the bees were killed by bursts of soapy water.
