Teens Killed in Car Crash Discovered by Family — Nov 4, 2017

Three young men died tragically leaving their families to use cell phone GPS tracking to find their bodies on Halloween night. Their mangled vehicle was found down an embankment off Skyline Boulevard. Matthew Cruz, 18, of Redwood City, Andrew Gonzales, 18, of Menlo Park, and Ricky Torres, 19, of Redwood City, were found deceased by their own family members when they did not return home the night before. Alcohol is not believed to be a factor and investigators have measured skid marks found nearby to try to determine the cause of the accident. The teens were Fire Explorers and planned to go into the field upon graduation. The entire community has been affected by their deaths.
