Teen Injured in Fiery Turlock Crash — June 06, 2017

A solo vehicle crash caused extensive injury and burns to a Delhi teen on Turlock’s Highway 99. Nineteen-year-old Ramon Gonzalez sustained major injury to his upper extremities when his 1998 Lincoln Navigator caught fire at approximately 11:40 p.m. He was headed northbound at an undetermined speed. For reasons still undetermined, her suddenly turned onto the freeway, across several lanes and an on ramp at Lander Avenue. The vehicle left the roadway, went down an embankment and through a fence where it overturned. The smoke as it landed quickly turned to flames, igniting the dry grass around it. The fired approximately a forth of an acre before being distinguished. He had been wearing his seatbelt.
