Suspects Driving Stolen Car Kill 89-Year-Old Man On 89th Ave in Oakland, CA

Ninety-Eighth Avenue in East Oakland was the scene of the grisly death of an 89-year-old man in October of 2015. As stolen car broadsided a minivan. In turn, the minivan hit a Camry, stopped at a traffic signal. The 89-year-old man, Carl Martin of Oakland, was found dead in the passenger side of the minivan when coroners arrived. Some of the other drivers and passengers involved suffered minor injuries and were transported to the hospital or treated on the scene. The driver of the stolen car, a Ford Edge, was arrested at the scene.
