Sonoma Suspect Flees, Crashes Car and Gets Arrested — August 3, 2017

Sonoma officers witnessed a dark colored car driving without valid registration and gave chase Wednesday night south on U.S. Highway 101 near state Highway 12. The driver, 30-year-old James Gunther, fled west down Todd Road and onto Moorland Avenue before turning north onto East Robles Avenue where he hit a culvert and a traffic sign before attempting a left turn onto Bellevue Avenue. He finally came to a stop at Coggins Kennels, 98 Bellevue Avenue when he hit a fence. He attempted to run on foot but was quickly apprehended.
