Solo Crash on Highway 4 Crash in Martinez Kills Driver — August 13, 2017

A solo crash occurred on state Highway 4 westbound in Martinez on Sunday. A 41-year-old man from Richmond died in the accident. He was behind the wheel of a white 2011 Toyota Camry east of Alhambra Avenue at approximately 4 a.m. Evidence indicates the car veered off the side of the road and into a tree. The driver was pronounced dead on the scene. Drugs nor alcohol appear to be a part of the accident. No other vehicles were involved.
