Single Car Crash on Lakeshore Boulevard Injures Man

Police responded to reports of a man screaming in the early morning hours of a March Wednesday in 2015. They found an overturned pickup truck north of Lange Street. Damon Thomas Wooldridge was trapped inside. His injuries warranted air lifting to the local hospital after firefighters took nearly two hours to extract him. According to authorities in Lake County, he was speeding when he hit a curb and flipped sideways. After going air born he crashed into a large oak tree and landed on the roof of the truck. Alcohol is suspected to be related.
