Santa Clara Street Race Crash Kills One — Nov 6, 2016

A drag race on San Tomas Expressway in Santa Clara turned deadly when a 20-year-old driver veered off the road to avoid traffic. He flew up a small embankment and wedged the car between a tree and a concrete wall. The force of the impact was so great from the high speed the vehicle was traveling, it sheared off the entire left side of the car. The driver died at the scene.
