San Pedro Road Crash Leaves 17-Year Old Dead

Aura Celeste Machado, 17, was killed when she was struck while jogging on San Pedro Road in San Raphael. At approximately 7 p.m. Aura Celeste Machado was jogging near Manderly Road, along San Pedro Road when she came across a fallen tree. When she left the road to circumvent the tree she was hit by a minivan. The minivan, going westbound, was driven by Robert John Gray, 69, of San Rafael. He was cooperative and admitted to drinking one drink before driving. Blood tests results showed he was not impaired and well below the legal limit.
