San Mateo Crash on 280 Seriously Injures Woman -- Dec 2, 2017

A woman was seriously injured after a car accident in San Mateo, the California Highway Patrol reported. The crash happened at 8:50 a.m. on 280 Freeway southbound, just east of Highway 92. According to the California Highway Patrol, a Toyota Lexus was traveling frantically along 280 when it crashed into a tree. Several motorists stopped to assist. Initial reports indicated a female occupant was killed in the crash, but responding rescuers determined the patient only sustained moderate injuries. Paramedics were immediately dispatched and transported the victim to a local hospital in unknown condition. The fourth lane was jammed during the rescue procedure. No added data was provided. The accident remains under investigation.
