San Leandro Crash Leads to Meth Bust — Oct 9, 2016

A man, driving a 2002 Mitsubishi Eclipse on Highway 120 just before LaGrange Road on Saturday at approximately 3:35 a.m., fell asleep and ran off the south edge of the road according to the California Highway Patrol. The man, whose name is Victor De La Cruz, a 55-year-old from San Leandro, was patted down by police who found more than an ounce of methamphetamine in his waistband. De La Cruz was booked on charges of possession and transportation of methamphetamine for sale into Tuolumne County Jail on a $65,000 bail.
