San Jose Crash Leaves 3000 Without Power — Oct 20, 2016

A report of a car accident at Almaden Expressway near Rajokovich Way and Almaden Road, just before 11:30 pm. Upon their arrival, police discovered a 16-year-old male. He had struck a power pole which then landed on Almaden Expressway. Although the teen was not seriously injured, it took crews over three hours to extricate him from the wreckage. PG&E and firefighters had to de-energize the power lines. A total of approximately 3100 customers were out of electricity for 12 hours.
