Sacramento Landscaper Killed on the Job Near Natomas Road — Mar 30, 2017

Police reported a Sacramento landscaper was killed in an accident while he was at work on Thursday afternoon. A man driving a white pickup crashed into a tree and pole at around 1:30 p.m. on Del Paso Road near Gateway Park Boulevard and could not avoid hitting the worker. The roads in the area were closed for a few hours.

Police have not yet released the identity of both the victim or driver at the time of this report. The driver’s current condition is unknown, but there is information that indicates he was taken to the hospital. Although the white pickup was also working for a landscaping company, it does not appear that the men were colleagues.

The police are still investigating if alcohol or drugs played a role, and no conclusions have been reached.
