Rural East Stockton Crash Kills One -- Nov 17, 2017

A Wednesday afternoon three-car crash in east Stockton killed a man. His name has yet to be released. The incident occurred at approximately 12:15 p.m. east of Jack Tone Road on Highway 4 when a 1998 Mercedes approached at over 55 mph. a 52-year-old man from Mariposa in a 2008 Ford F-250 approached from the east at 50 mph. A 64-year-old man from Elverta in a 2015 Ford F-450 was behind him. The Mercedes driver attempted to pass the vehicles in front of him and hit the two ford vehicles. He was transported to an area hospital where he later died. Drugs and/or alcohol are still being considered as a factor.
