Rain Pounds Fremont Area Causing Several Wrecks -- Nov 16, 2017

Traffic was snarled all through the Bay Area Thursday morning as rain pounded the roadways once again. It all started when a semi-truck rammed into an electric pole in Fremont. The power was knocked-out for more than 3,000 customers in the Auto Mall Parkway and Boscell Road area. Both lanes of the Auto Mall Parkway were closed temporarily. The northbound lanes of Highway 85 were briefly blocked with overturned vehicles in Los Gatos near Winchester Boulevard at approximately 5 p.m. Not long after that, a wreck blocked all four lanes of traffic southbound on Highway 101 in Mountain View at Shoreline Blvd. Police are taking the opportunity to remind drivers to slow down in wet weather.
