Policeman Dies in Sacramento Motorcycle Crash — Feb 23, 2017

A policeman, Officer Lucas Chellew, 31-years-old, was chasing a suspect on a motorcycle last Wednesday when he lost his life. The suspect was also on a motorcycle. He was traveling on eastbound Fruitridge Road in pursuit when a silver car sped past him. It was approximately 5:45. Chellew attempted to miss the car but instead hit the right side of the road. He lost control of his motorcycle. He was thrown from the bike and received major head trauma. He was rushed to an area hospital where he died less than half an hour later.
