Placer County ATV Crash Kills Bay Area Man — Aug 28, 2017

A man on an ATV in rural Placer County ran off the road and was killed in the crash. The 30-year-old man from San Pablo had been on a 2006 Suzuki quad at around 11:35 a.m. when he failed to negotiate a curve on Forest Road 24 southbound north of Sugar Pine Road. He went off road and hit a tree and was killed. The man was pronounced dead at the scene. He was wearing a helmet. His name has not been released.
