Pedestrian Injured After Walking Into Traffic in Berkeley, CA

Tragically, a pedestrian was seriously injured in Berkeley in October of 2015. A Kia struck him as he was walking along the off-ramp on Interstate 80, according to the California Highway Patrol. At approximately 7:26 p.m., the Kia was driving west and entered the off-ramp. The victim walked directly in front of the path of the Kia. The Gilman off-ramp was closed for approximately an hour as the victim was transported to the hospital with major head injuries. The pedestrians name and condition have not been identified as investigations are on-going as to why he walked into traffic.
