Passenger Sends Car Into Oncoming Traffic in Rohnert Park Accident, July 25, 2016

Fighting with his mother from the passenger seat of her 2006 Ford Mustang, Benjamin Moss, 44, grabbed the wheel and pulled the car into oncoming traffic as they were travelling east on Rohnert Park Expressway. It was near Sonoma State University’s Green Music Center when the pair careened into the path of an Infinity SUV. The SUV shot to the shoulder of the road. The Mustang went into a spin and hit the curb before barreling into a redwood tree. Moss was rushed to an area hospital. He had not been wearing a seatbelt. It has been reported that his injuries are life threatening and he remains in the hospital. His mother and the other driver suffered minor injuries, were treated and released. Part of Rohnert Park Expressway between Redwood Circle and Petaluma Hill Road was closed for five hours after the crash for clean-up and investigation. While in the hospital, Moss was arrested with felony DUI.
