Oakland Crash Injures Woman and Boy — Nov 8, 2016

A multi-vehicle crash in Oakland near Broadway injured a woman and a small boy. Two of five lanes were blocked eliciting a sig alert. The accident occurred at 7:39 a.m. on eastbound 24 close to the Highway 13 off-ramp. The woman and boy were traveling in an SUV. They attempted to cross lanes toward the off-ramp when she hit the rear end of a tractor-trailer truck and then another SUV. Bystanders and the driver of the truck tried to extricate the boy and woman from their Chevy Tahoe but were not able to get them out. The fire department eventually was able to get them out. All lanes of traffic were clear by 10 a.m.
