Oakland Crash Badly Injures One — Sep 11, 2017

A 33-year-old Oakland woman smashed her car into a fence and flipped over near the Oakland Coliseum approximately 8:29 p.m. Sunday. She suffered serious injury. The accident occurred in the 6500 block of Oakport Street. She had no passengers in the Chevy Malibu at the time of the accident. Police assume she was headed east on Oakport Street when she lost control and went over into the shoulder of the road. She overcorrected and flew into the fence on the opposite side of the road. She was trapped inside when the car flipped. She was not believed to be wearing a seatbelt. She remains at the hospital in critical condition.
