Forty-two-year-old Jennifer Barbero of Pleasanton, was arrested for murder after she struck and seriously injured a man who later died from his injuries. It was May 26 when seventy-three-year-old David Nemeroff had stopped on the side of State Route 84 southbound in his silver Mercedes. At approximately 10:20 a.m. Barbero hit the man with her Lincoln SUV. She had gotten out and was standing with the man when police arrived on the scene. They determined her to be under the influence of alcohol and arrested her. Nemeroff was taken to the hospital but died two days later from his injuries. A warrant for murder was issued and Barbero was arrested.
