Multi-Car Pile-Up on I580 in Livermore -- Nov 29, 2017

A crash involving several cars on Interstate 580 brought an alert for severe traffic early Wednesday, the California Highway Patrol said. Early reports confirmed by the California Highway Patrol indicated as many as five cars and possibly as many as seven were involved in the accident in the westbound direction at the Portola Road exit at approximately 7:25 a.m. It does not appear that any major injuries were suffered, according to the California Highway Patrol. The far-left lanes on I-580 were blocked. The CHP issued a Sig Alert at 7:41 a.m. They lifted the alert at 8:30 a.m. The cause of the crash was not immediately known.
