Modesto Man Killed on I-99 Crash -- Nov 17, 2017

Andrew Rochin has been identified by the Stanislaus County Coroner's Office as the 27-year-old Modesto man killed in a single-car crash on Highway 99. The rollover crash on southbound Highway 99 near Beckwith Road in north Modesto was reported at 3:37 a.m. First responders and rescuers arrived on the scene of the accident and found a 2004 Dodge Durango, with Mr. Rochin lying a few feet away. He was pronounced dead at the scene, according to the California Highway Patrol. Police determined the Durango was travelling south when for unknown reasons it left the road. It hit a light pole on the right shoulder of the road, then went down an embankment and hit a fence. The truck rolled several times, ejecting Rochin.
