Merced Man Identified From Weekend Crash

The man killed in Merced on Sunday March 13, has been identified as 19-year-old Jack Vann. The accident occurred on Highway 99. He was driving a 2004 Chevrolet Tahoe and drifted off the road on the southbound end. He overturned near East Atwater Blvd in a ditch. Investigators for CHP reported no other vehicles were involved. 

The young man was not wearing a seat belt. He was ejected from the truck which landed on top of him, killing him instantly.
