Man Injured After Sonoma Police Pursuit and Crash — Mar 23, 2017

A man from Redwood, 32-year-old Kyle Lawrence Byrne was riding as a passenger to Mary Sydney Schaefer, 33-year-old of Ukiah in a 2006 SUV Chevrolet. She was passing cars at highway speed and police attempted to pull her over. She made a U-turn on South Cloverdale Boulevard at about 12:30 P.M. and went onto Dutcher Creek Road. She was clocked at speeds upwards of 100 mph. Police halted the chase. They came upon the SUV wrecked a few moment later. It was on its roof. Schaefer was arrested for evading arrest. She had a broken pelvis. Byrne broke his neck, back and tore his aorta. Police know Schaefer was driving on a revoked license.
