Man Dies in Visalia After DUI Driver Hits Parked Car — Nov 14, 2016

A Madera man, Mardell Nash, 63-years-old, was killed right before midnight on Highway 198 in Visalia when a drunk driver hit his parked car. The alleged drunk driver was Alejandro Preciado, 27-years-old, of Visalia. He was arrested after rear-ending Nash who was sitting in his parked 1999 Honda on the north shoulder of Highway 198 west, just east of Lovers Lane. After Preciado’s 2002 Nissan hit the Honda it flipped and slid down an embankment. Nash was killed in the accident. There were no other passengers in either car.
