Man Dies After Being Struck by Car in Walnut Creek — Oct 26, 2016

Two people attempted to run across Interstate Highway 680 in Walnut Creek last week during the morning commute. One, 36-year-old Cardy Harper of Danville, has died from injuries sustained during the accident. Harper and a woman from Grass Valley, 54-years-old, had rear-ended a car at Ygnacio Valley Road off-ramp and were attempting to cross at the northbound lane area of Interstate Highway 680 at approximately 8:15 am on October 18th. A maroon Hyundai Sonata hit them both and threw them across two lanes of traffic and into the right shoulder of the road. The woman is still in the hospital.
