Machete Wielding Man Injured in Two Car Hit and Run in Oakland, CA

In the news of the strange and unusual, a man wielding a machete jumped into traffic on October 20, 2015 in East Oakland at 37th and International Boulevard. He was wildly trying to smash car windows of two cars that both hit him and then absconded. A police spokesperson said he was throwing bottles at motorists screaming and yelling. Police had received a 911 call advising a man wielding a machete at a red car that was trying to hit him. Another car eventually also hit him before both cars sped off. Police took the unidentified man to the hospital and are actively investigating the two drivers who could face felony charges.
