Los Banos Crash Kills Two- August 16, 2016

A blown tire has been found to be the culprit of a deadly accident just south of Los Banos on I5. At approximately 9:20 a.m. on Monday the 15th of August, a 2003 Ford Expedition carrying six people was travelling south on I5 when they experience a rear tire blow out. Eighteen-year-old Javier Martinez of Los Angeles was driving and was unable to maintain control of his car and flew across full lanes of traffic to flip on the road shoulder. Two passengers, a 46-year-old woman and a 16-year-old girl were thrown from the car and pronounced dead at the scene. They were not seat belted.
