Lodi Crash Kills One on Highway 12 — Oct 30, 2017

A Monday morning car crash just east of Lodi turned fatal when a big rig driver crossed into westbound lanes around 4:30 a.m. When he saw a car approaching, he attempted to move back into his own lane but lost control. Swerving in and out of traffic, he crashed his semi-truck hauling two beds of walnuts head-on into a car coming the opposite direction. The truck flipped over, spilling walnuts all over the road and other vehicles. The driver of the other car, a male, died on the scene. His identity has not yet been released.
