LINCOLN, Calif. (KCRA) —Both boys involved in Sunday's ATV crash into a pond near Lincoln have died, according to the California Highway Patrol.

Blake Cronkhite, 5, of Lincoln and Jayden Secrest, 3, of Citrus Heights, drove the ATV into a private pond near a home on Wise Road, officers said.

Both boys were airlifted to the UC Davis Medical Center on Sunday and pronounced dead at the hospital, officers said.

Cronkhite lived on the property, and Secrest was his friend.

The ATV was brought to the property by Secrest's family, CHP officers said.
