I80 Thanksgiving Crash Kills One -- Nov 26, 2017

A man from Reno was killed and several hurt early Thanksgiving morning in a multi-vehicle crash on Business Interstate 80 near Exposition Boulevard in Sacramento, according to the California Highway Patrol. It was reported about 2:35 a.m. Thursday. Two vehicles crashed in the center division of southbound Capital City Freeway just past Exposition Boulevard near E Street. Many auto occupants got out of their cars as one of the automobiles was partly blocking the No. 1 lane. Approximately 10 minutes later, another automobile crashed into those people, killing the 41-year-old Reno man and severely injuring two others, says the CHP. The road was partially blocked for several hours as police officers investigated and the scene and cleared it. No additional facts have been released.
