I5 Wrong-Way Crash Kills Corning Woman — Nov 19, 2016

A Glenn County crash on I5, just south of County Road 39 close to Artois, killed a woman from Corning, Monica Skidmore, 37. She was traveling in her 2010 Dodge Charger in the southbound lanes at about 4 a.m. when Ronald Carlin of Red Bluff, 76-years-old, driving a 2010 Ford Edge, traveling the wrong direction collided head on with Skidmore’s car. Immediately after the impact, Thomas Vuoso Jr., 60-years-old, driving a big rig southbound rolled up on the wreckage and could not stop in time. He crashed in Skidmore’s car. Carlin suffered major injuries. Vuoso had shoulder pain. Both were taken to Enloe Medical Center in Chico. Skidmore died in the accident.
