Horrifying Oakland Wreck kills 2 Children, Injures 3 Adults — August 17, 2017

A Wednesday night car accident killed two children and injured three adults at an east Oakland intersection. The accident occurred at approximately 8:45 p.m. at the International Boulevard and 55th Avenue intersection. The children who died in the accident were ages 6 and 11. They were taken to a nearby hospital by ambulance and died a short time later. Two adult drivers also sustained serious injury. They were also transported to an area hospital for treatment and are listed in stable condition. The driver of a Chrysler 300 was heading west on International Blvd. hit a Chevy HHR as it turned onto 55th Ave from Internationals eastbound lanes. International was closed up to Seminary Avenue.
