Hollister Policeman Crashes While in Pursuit — Sep 21, 2017

A Hollister police officer was involved in a serious car accident while chasing suspected thieves. He engaged his lights and siren and pulled into an intersection. An SUV hit him. Both vehicles were severely damaged. Both drivers had to be taken to a local hospital for treatment. The three suspects, 20-year-old Chartanae Lovely of Antioch, CA, 21-year-old Davida Fortenberry of Oakland, CA and 22-year-old Laje Ford of Oakland, CA, continued to flee until California Highway Patrol ended the chase in Hayward. Their car was found to hold several thousand dollars in stolen merchandise. They were arrested and taken to jail.
