Hit-and-Run Accident on Broadway and Texerna Court Near Placerville, CA Was a Lover's Quarrel Gone Wrong

Slightly east of Placerville, near Broadway and Texerna Court, police responded to a call of hit and run and found a seriously wounded man at the scene. He appeared to have been hit by a car. Moments later a woman appeared, his girlfriend, Terri Crampton of Pollock Pines. She eventually admitted she had hit him with her silver 2001 BMW and led police to where she had hidden the car on Newton Road. Terri Crampton was then taken into custody of El Dorado Police at the scene. She was booked on suspicion of assault with a deadly weapon, felony domestic violence and felony hit and run. According to an El Dorado County Sheriff’s Office news release, Crampton faces enhancement charges for having prior felony convictions as well.
