Highway 116 Crash Kills Petaluma Man -- Dec 7, 2017

The Sonoma County Sheriff's Office has identified the driver who died in a solo-vehicle crash early Thursday morning as Stirling Joseph Stryker, 55, of Petaluma. At around 2 a.m. Stryker was driving a 1985 Nissan 300SX south on state Highway 116 north of East Bonness Road in the Schellville area of unincorporated Sonoma County, California Highway Patrol officials said. The Nissan left the west edge of the highway, collided with a fence and a tree and overturned, according to CHP officials. Stryker was not wearing a seatbelt and was ejected from the car. He was pronounced dead at the scene, CHP officials said.
