Head on Crash in Sacramento County Kills Family — Mar 28, 2017

Two people have died, a mom, her 11-year-old son and her one-year-old son, as they traveled eastbound on Jackson Highway. Renee Villabobos, 31-years-old, drifted into oncoming traffic at approximately 3:00 a.m. She and her son James, the 11-year-old, died at the scene. The baby was taken to the hospital where he succumbed to his injuries and died on Monday. Investigators have determined that the woman, nor either of the children had been properly restrained in the Honda she was driving. She crashed head-on into a white van. The driver saw her coming but was unable to get out of the way. He suffered minor injuries.
