Fiery Placer County Crash Kills Driver — Oct 24, 2017

An early Monday fiery crash killed a driver who hit a tree just north of Auburn at approximately 2:30 A.M. Officers responded to the scene slightly south of Dry Creek Road on Bowman Road as the Pontiac Grand Prix burst into flames. The driver, who had failed to negotiate a turn, died on the scene. The car, as well as the surrounding area, caught fire. By the time rescuers arrived, the driver was burnt beyond recognition. No information has been released on an identity but the car was found to be registered in West Sacramento.
